Job Summary The Finance Manager is responsible for the administration and accounting function for D&C operations for their respective region. The incumbent must ensure that operations are efficiently and effectively administered, controlled and reported.
Responsibilities The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and skills required of personnel so classified.

• The efficient, timely and accurate administration and reporting of all contracted D&C projects. This consist of but is not limited to:
o Reviewing and authorization of project budgets (initial, modification, transfers etc) and facilitating the timely upload into JDE.
o Scheduling and attending 6 weekly cost and control reviews/project reviews in order to identify and mitigate/maximize risks and opportunities.
o Ensuring consistent application of administration protocols, company policy and LOA’s.
o Ensuring the production of quality, detailed and accurate project review outputs including:
 Project Review Report
 Meeting minutes and action items
 Signed Cost Report Summary
 Detailed Cost Report Package
 Project Profit Plan
 Project % Complete Forecast
o Production of consolidated monthly financial reports for D&C projects (including MIS entry, analysis & reporting).
o Attendance and participation in monthly senior management financial meeting.
• Implementation and embedment of project costing, project controls & MIS processes and systems into your respective projects. This will involve:
o Regular coaching and training of site management staff in respect to administrative process, protocols, reporting and JDE operation.
o Regular coaching and training of Project Cost Control Managers & project accounting staff in respect to administrative process, protocols, reporting and JDE operation.
o Regular communication and issue resolution with Corporate Contracts Manager.
o The embedment, training and further development of the Actus management information system (MIS)
• Leadership and management of the administration and accounting function including:
o Performance management issues
o Performance appraisals and salary recommendations for direct reports (in conjunction with construction manager).
o Recruitment and training of new hires.
o Development of Hi-potentials
• Championing procurement initiatives & controls
• Adhoc requests.
Minimum Requirements GENERAL BACKGROUND AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• The Finance Operations Manager will likely have formal qualifications in either, Quantity Surveying, Financial/Accounting, Estimating or Engineering/Construction
• 5-10 years property experience
• Proven track record in:
o Project Financial/Cost Reporting
o Financial and Project Controls
o Contracts Administration
o Contract Finalization
o Procurement and scheduling
o Staff Management
o Client Management
